Gifts from USA-based alumni
QMUL has for many years offered alumni and friends of the university who live and/or pay US taxes the opportunity to make tax-efficient gifts.
QMUL is a member institution of the British Schools and Universities Foundation Inc (BSUF); in the last five years BSUF have managed gifts on behalf of the university of over US $1m. BSUF have now simplified the process for donors to make gifts by credit card.
Making a donation by credit cards
To make a donation by credit card to the Queen Mary University of London Foundation which qualifies for a US tax deduction, please visit British Schools and Universities Foundation.
BSUF credit-card transactions are processed by Network for Good, a company specialising in serving non-profit organisations. However, donors should be aware that a 3% handling charge will be applied.
To avoid the 3% charge, you can make your donation by cheque. The cheque should be made payable to "BSUF", enclosed with a "Donor Transmittal Form" or another form of written expression of preference for support of the Queen Mary University of London Foundation and mailed to:
British Schools & Universities Foundation
575 Madison Avenue
Please note that as BSUF has limited resources and offer its services without charge, the Donor Transmittal Form encourages donors to consider becoming members of the Foundation.
BSUF is also able to inform beneficiary institutions of the names of its donors, provided they have not expressed an intended wish to remain anonymous.
All gifts received are acknowledged and thanked by the Queen Mary University of London Foundation.
