Water Regulations Certificate Presentation

The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 replaced the old Water Byelaws. The intention of the Regulations is to ensure that any installations are installed and maintained to a high standard. This also ensures maximum efficiency with minimisation of water consumption and wastage. Also purity of water, public health and legionella control is taken into account. Those registered as members are entitled to certify works completed and conform to the Regulations.
On 13 December 2011, a certificate presentation was made to Maintenance staff who have completed Water Regulations training by Thames Water. The course was delivered to the university as we are committed to saving water and embrace the water regulations which Thames Water are required to enforce by the Government.
