Queen Mary has a significant package of competitive bursaries and scholarships to award in a range of subject areas.

Bursary / scholarshipValueEligibility

Queen Mary Bursary

  • £1,500 per year if your household income is £25,000 or less
  • £1,200 per year if your household income is between £25,000 and £42,600
  • You will be automatically assessed for this bursary using the information you provide to Student Finance England (or equivalent)

National Scholarship Programme (NSP)

  • £3,000 (£1,500 fee waiver, £1,500 cash bursary) for your first year of study
  • You will receive the Queen Mary Bursary for your second and third years of study
  • 522 Scholarships available
  • You must have a household income of £25,000 or less
  • You must be in receipt of a full Maintenance Grant
  • You must have achieved in the region of 400-440 UCAS tariff points
  • You must be ordinarily resident in England
  • You will be automatically assessed for the Scholarship if you have submitted your details for income assessment by Student Finance England by A-Level results day

Queen Mary and Westfield Alumni Student Bursary

  • £1,000 per year for three years
  • Two bursaries available

  • You must have enrolled in September and be in the first year of your course
  • You must be under 20 years old at the start of the course
  • You must be  a permanent resident in the City of London, London Borough of Tower Hamlets or Hackney and have lived there for at least three years
  • You must be assessed by Student Finance England as having a household income of £42,600 or less
  • Eligible students will automatically be sent an application form by the University

Aldgate and Allhallows Foundation Scholarship

  • £1,000 per year for three years
  • You must have enrolled in September and be in the first year of your course
  • You must be under 25 years old at the start of the course
  • You must be  a permanent resident in the City of London or London Borough of Tower Hamlets and have lived there for at least three years
  • You must be assessed by Student Finance England as having a household income of £42,600 or less
  • Eligible students will automatically be sent an application form by the University
