Introduction

The Education Liaison and Access Office is the main point of contact for schools, colleges and careers companies. We provide an extensive education liaison service and also co-ordinate the College's  Widening Participation activities; we are the lead university in the LETG Aim Higher partnership.

Our services include:

• The main college Open Day, normally held in late March/early April
• Campus tours for prospective applicants
• Programme of talks and visits for schools and colleges
• Attendance at UCAS Nextstep Higher Education conventions
• The East London Higher Education convention
• On Q, the college newsletter for schools and colleges, and biennally-updated Teachers' Guide to HE
• Information Sessions for teachers and career staff, held biannually
• Parents' Guide to Higher Education
• QM:Insight [new window], our insider's guide to Higher Education
• An annual Conference for teachers and careers advisers

Widening Participation activities and initiatives:

• Master classes
• Summer schools
• Revision classes for AS/A level students
• Group visits to Queen Mary
• Study support for Queen Mary students
• Excellence Hub for Gifted and Talented students
