New Academic Posts in Science and Engineering
Queen Mary, University of London is one of the UK's most successful higher education institutions, described by the Times Higher Education as "the biggest star among the research-intense Institutions" in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, in which it was ranked 13th in the UK. A college of the University of London, and a member of the 1994 group in its own right, Queen Mary climbed 44 places, ranking 120th in this years' Times Higher Education World University Rankings and student feedback earned it the acclaimed 'Most Improved Student Experience' award in 2009.
The Faculty of Science and Engineering intends to build on its existing strengths, and on the success of Queen Mary over the last few years, to establish itself as one of the leading science and engineering faculties in the UK, both for its research, education and outreach provision. To achieve this Queen Mary is now embarking on a significant strategic investment in Science and Engineering which will include several academic appointments over the next few years. The Faculty is seeking to recruit excellent researchers and teachers who can contribute to the achievement of its ambitious and exciting plans and now invites applications from outstanding scholars in the fields listed below
