Error:-

Introduction, paragraph 5.

The term 1-deoxyketosyl has been replaced with 1-deoxyketos-1-yl; N-(1-deoxyfructosyl)hemoglobin by N-(1-deoxyfructos-1-yl)hemoglobin and deoxyfructosylhemoglobin by (1-deoxyfructos-1-yl)hemoglobin. The fourth sentence has been reworded.

The reason for this change is that the term 1-deoxyketosyl implies attachment through the anomeric carbon, which for 1-deoxyfructose would be C-2. The required group retains the hemiacetal (hemiketal) function at C-2 and the attachment is through C-1. Hence the group should be called 1-deoxyfructos-1-yl. See Nomenclature of Carbohydrates rule 2-Carb-31.1 for the use of glycosyl and 2-Carb-31.2 for the naming of other groups.
