PhDs

There is a variety of general information about postgraduate research on the main Queen Mary page for postgraduate study. This includes descriptions of what research degrees are available in which subjects, how to apply, fees, funding and support, real and virtual Open Days, and career prospects and employability.

Support across Queen Mary for doctoral (and postdoctoral) research students is provided by the Doctoral College. The Doctoral College website contains further information about our current PhD programmes, what we offer research students in terms of courses, developmental events, social activities, and different forms of support. The work of the Doctoral College is overseen by three Deputy Deans for Research, one from each Faculty, with one Deputy Dean acting as Director in a rotating role. Professional Services support for this work is provided by dedicated staff in the Centre for Academic and Professional Development. The Research Degrees Office provides an administrative service to research degree students in the Doctoral College and staff involved in their supervision.
