Campus Round-up: It’s fun to learn
Times Higher Education
Researchers at Queen Mary will be demonstrating their work at Mile End and Whitechapel on 23 September. The building of a Lego Universe, a computer science magic show, and an experiment to track emotions on Twitter will be some of the fun ways for the public to learn about academia and research. The 20,000-piece Lego model will be a highlight of the Researchers’ Night event. Visitors can also try out sports tests undertaken by Olympic athletes. "It is an ideal opportunity to explore the university, try out state-of-the-art technology, take part in fascinating experiments, and attempt to out-smart academics," said Evelyn Welch, vice-principal for research and international affairs.
