The Vista (Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy) telescope has captured stunning new images of distant stars and galaxies. Based in Chile, the world’s largest telescope has exposed dramatic images of the Flame Nebula, a cloud of gas and dust in the constellation of Orion. The project has been developed by a group of 18 universities and is led by academics at Queen Mary.
