Alumni Office: Eva Figes

The archives of Queen Mary alumna and Honorary Fellow Eva Figes have been sold to the British Library for £20,000. The collection, which includes boxes of her notebooks, letters, typescripts and proofs of her novels and non-fiction, will be made available alongside the work of Harold Pinter and Ted Hughes. She studied English at Queen Mary and graduated in 1953, having come to Britain fleeing from the horrors of Nazi Germany.
