Professor Anthony Warrens is set to join Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in June 2010 as the new Dean for Education.
Professor Warrens comes from Imperial College where he has led the Graduate Entry Programme (GEP) since establishing the course in 2005. He is currently Professor of Renal and Transplantation Medicine at Imperial.
Professor Warrens will leave his current positions as Director of the Clinical Immunology Service at Hammersmith Hospital and Head of Education for the Cardiovascular and Renal Clinical Programme Group with the Imperial College Academic Health Sciences Centre to take up his new role.
Professor Sir Nicholas Wright, Warden, said: “Anthony Warrens will take Barts and The London's already high level of excellence in education to new heights and all staff and students look forward to working with him".
