The LSI Centre for Computational Biology Showcase Awards are open for applications.
Researchers from across QMUL are invited to submit proposals for funding of activities that showcase their computational biology research.
Proposals should be submitted in the form of an email to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 29th January 2018, 5pm.
The email, which should not exceed 400 words, should clearly explain the proposed activity, how it will help promote the centre, and specify the amount of funding requested.
Proposals will be judged according to value for money, and with the overall intention of promoting a broad range of QMUL's computational biology research within the remit of the LSI. Outcomes will be notified on Friday 2nd February and funds must be spent before 31 July 2018. Recipients of showcasing awards will be expected to acknowledge the CCB in their showcasing activity, and present their work at one of the regular CCB workshops if they have not already done so.
Applicants must show how their proposal is helping promote QMUL’s computational biology research. An obvious showcasing activity would be presenting relevant work at a conference, but more innovative proposals are most welcome. PhD students and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to apply but need the support of their line manager.
