Qualifications for Entry
The Study Abroad Office at Queen Mary is committed to hosting students of the highest academic calibre. Admission is based on academic merit and every application to the Study Abroad Programme is considered on its individual merits. We are happy to consider a very wide range of international academic qualifications, and a selection of these are detailed below by country. If you are submitting an application from a country not listed, or feel your circumstances are somewhat unusual and you would like to discuss your application before submitting it, please contact us at study-abroad@qmul.ac.uk.

However, it is possible to take introductory courses in academic subjects if students have not previously studied them in their undergraduate degree. English language requirements are shown below.

Application Sources, US Programmes & Exchanges
We accept applications from four sources:
- Direct applications from students on the Queen Mary application form
- Via a US institution which has an agreement for Study Abroad with Queen Mary: you should consult with the Study Abroad Adviser at your home institution to see if this is the case and to check on any special application arrangements
- Through a US Study Abroad programme such as The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University, Butler University's Institute for Study Abroad, Inter-Study or Marymount College, you should refer to the publications issued by these organisations for application procedures
- Through our existing exchange agreements.
Please note that applications from any of these sources are considered equally on their own individual merits.
Applications for Full-Year and Autumn are received and considered from January in the year of entry until 15 July, applications for the Spring semester are received and considered from May of the year before the year of entry until 13 October. Applications will be considered after these dates if places are still available but it is in your interest to apply as early as possible as applications are considered on a rolling basis as are places on modules that pre-register.
You can apply by completing the application form above.
