My name is Virginie Pierard and I’m from Brussels, Belgium. I graduated from Queen Mary University of London in summer 2013 with a BA in Film Studies.
My time at Queen Mary has been the most rewarding and enriching of my life for many reasons. First of all, I was very impressed by the amazing quality of the academic staff. Throughout my three-year course, I have been taught by lecturers who are some of the most qualified and knowledgeable in their field and who share their knowledge with a real passion. The academic staff are very friendly and are always supportive and available to provide academic help or guidance whenever you need it throughout your studies.
I love the fact that Queen Mary has such a large and contained campus, providing a wide variety of services, which gives you the lovely feeling to feel part of a community. What also made my life here so exciting is the diverse and vibrant student life, with a wide range of sport clubs and societies to get involved with. I was part of the Cheerleading team for 2 years and had the most amazing time!
There are people from all over the world here so you will never feel alone and it is not long before you will make a lot of friends.
Please feel free to email me and ask me anything about life at Queen Mary, the Film Studies course, the campus, the accommodation... Anything! I will be very happy to help.
