Foundation Courses (1 year)
Academic:
- Holders of the Upper Secondary School Graduation Certificate with a minimum average score of 7.0.
English Language Requirements

- Students with A’ levels or IB will not require IELTS or TOEFL
- Students who achieve slightly below these requirements may be admitted onto a presessional English course at Queen Mary. Please see the Entry Level Guidelines for English Language for full details..
Recognition of Vietnam qualifications for undergraduate entry
Academic:
- UK Foundation or
- Holders of the Upper Secondary School Graduation Certificates with excellent grades who complete the first year of study at reputable universities in Vietnam may be considered for entry directly into the first year of undergraduate study.
- 3 A levels
- International Baccalaureate (IB)

English Language Requirements

Recognition of Vietnam qualifications for graduate entry
Master's degrees (all one year)
Academic:
- 4 year undergraduate bachelor degree with GPA of 7.0 or above.
The usual entrance requirement to a taught Master's degree is a GPA of 7.0 or above in a related field. However, all applications are considered on an individual basis and students may be admitted to Master's programmes with lower than 7.0GPA if they have work experience relevant to the degree applied for.
Research degree (Mphil/PhD: 3 years)
The usual entrance requirement for a research degree is a Master's degree with upper class second honours from a UK or Vietnamese university. Some departments will sometimes accept students with the equivalent of a first or upper second class bachelor degree from a UK university.
