Entry Requirements

 

Recognition of Russian qualifications for Foundation courses

Applicants who have successfully completed their Certificate of Secondary Education (Attestat) will be considered for entry onto a Queen Mary International Foundation Programmes. Although our offer will vary from board to board, we will expect to see a minimum average score of 4.

 

Recognition of Russian qualifications for undergraduate entry

We are pleased to consider students who have completed a foundation course or at least 1 year of an approved Bakalavr/Specialist Diploma. Although our offer will vary from board to board, we will expect to see a minimum score of 4 in the Specialist Diploma.

Academic:

  • UK Foundation or
  • 1 year of an approved Bakalavr/Specialist Diploma to a minimum average of 4.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB)

Recognition of Russian qualifications for graduate entry

 

Masters degrees (all one year)

Academic

  • The exact requirements will depend on the programme you are applying for but QM generally considers applicants holding Specialist Diploma from a recognised Russian university for Master’s entry.
  • For the LLM Programme QM considers applicants holding a 4 year Bakalavr Diploma (Jurisprudence) with a minimum GPA  of 4.0/5.0 or a 5 year Specialist Diploma (specialising in law) with a minimum GPA of 4.0/5.0
  • Case specific decisions are made for students holding other qualifications.
  • Please note that all applications are considered on an individual basis and students may be admitted to Master's programmes with a lower level degree if they have work experience relevant to the degree applied for.

English:

 

Research Degree (MPhil/PhD, 3 years)

Academic:

  • The usual entrance requirement for a research degree is a master's degree from a UK or Magister grade 4 from a recognised higher education institution.   However many departments also accept student with the equivalent of an upper second class bachelor degree from a UK university.
