Queen Mary has a long history of welcoming students from around the world. Recognition of Indonesian qualifications for Undergraduate Foundation Courses (1 year)
The following Indonesian qualifications will be considered for entry onto a Queen Mary Foundation Course:
Academic:
- Sekolah Menengah Atas/SMA with a final average grade of at least 7/10. For some undergraduate programmes you may be expected to have studied specific subjects.

Recognition of Indonesian qualifications for Undergraduate Entry
Academic:
- Diploma II (D2), Diploma III (D3) or Diploma IV (D4) from a recognised institution may be considered for direct entry to a Bachelor’s programme
- Queen Mary or other UK Foundation course (grade B)
- 3 A levels (grades A-C)
- International Baccalaureate (IB)

English Language Requirements:
- Please refer to English language and foundation courses for different course requirements.
- Students with A’ levels or IB will not require IELTS or TOEFL
- Students who achieve slightly below these requirements may be admitted onto a presessional English course at Queen Mary. Please see the Entry Level Guidelines for English Language for full details.

Recognition of Indonesian qualifications for Graduate Entry
Master's degrees (all one year)
The following Indonesian qualifications will be considered for entry onto a Queen Mary Master’s degree:
Academic:
- Sarjana I (S1) accredited with A from a recognised university. Exact requirements will depend on the course you are applying for but you will be expected to have a final grade of at least 3.0/4.0.
Please note that all applications are considered on an individual basis and students may be admitted to Master's programmes with a lower level degree if they have work experience relevant to the degree applied for.

Research degree (MPhil/PhD: 3 years)
Academic:
- The usual entrance requirement for a research degree is a Master's degree from a UK university or a Sarjana II (S2) / Magister from a recognised university in Indonesia.
