 Welcome

Queen Mary has a long history of welcoming students from around the World. Over the years, many thousands of international students have graduated from the college and gone on to pursue successful careers. Today, we are home to students from more than 100 different countries. This diversity contributes to a lively and welcoming community which should make you feel comfortable and at home.

One of the largest colleges of the University of London and one of the few with fully integrated teaching, research and residential facilities, our setting gives you the benefits both of a large campus environment and of the countless academic and social opportunities of London.

There is currently 1 student from Croatia at Queen Mary studying English & drama at the postgraduate level.

Entry requirements

Recognition of Croatian Qualifications for Undergraduate Entry

Academic:

QM accepts students holding the Svjedodžba o Maturi (Certificate of Maturity) or the International Baccalaureate for direct entry into a Bachelor’s programme.

Students with A- levels or IB will not require IELTS or TOEFL

Recognition of Croatian Qualifications for Graduate Entry

Master's degrees (all one year)

Academic:

The exact requirements will depend on the programme you are applying for but QM generally considers applicants holding a 2:1 Bachelor (Second Class Upper Division) degree from a recognised Croatian university for Master’s entry.

  • Case specific decisions are made for students holding other postschool qualifications.
  • Please note that all applications are considered on an individual basis and students may be admitted to Master's programmes with a lower level degree if they have work experience relevant to the degree applied for.

English:

Students who achieve slightly below these requirements may be admitted onto a presessional English course at Queen Mary. Please see the Entry Level Guidelines for English Language for full details.

Research degree (MPhil/PhD: 3 years)

Academic:

  • The usual entrance requirement for a research degree is a Master's degree from a recognised Croatian university. Some departments also accept student with a First or Upper Second Class Bachelor’s degree.

English:
