We are campus-based, right in the heart of things, just 15 minutes away from central London. Queen Mary, University of London currently has 1950 bedroom places in mixed sex self-catering residences on or near the Mile End Campus , 150 places at the Whitechapel site (Floyer House) and 205 places at the Charterhouse Square site (Dawson Hall).
Living in Queen Mary accommodation has many advantages and living in a student community can be an important part of experiencing University life. A dedicated team of residences staff, wardens and stewards are responsible for the general welfare of their residents and ensure that the residences are clean, comfortable and have a sense of community to promote an active academic and social life.
All accommodation on campus is in modern, self-catered flats. All rooms are single and most have ensuite (private) bathroom facilities. Typically rooms are grouped in flats for between 4 and 11 students with shared kitchen facilities.All rooms are carpeted, equipped with a single bed, wash basin, wardrobe, fridge, bookshelves, desk, chair, desklamp and storage space, data points for (free) internet connections. Shared Kitchens are equipped with refrigerators/freezers, cookers, storage cupboards, food preparation and dining areas.
All Queen Mary housing is fully integrated so you will be sharing with other students both from the UK and other countries around the world. All accommodation is centrally heated and fees are inclusive of all heating and electricity charges.
We have award winning student accommodation, with 1950 spaces on campus at Mile End. Queen Mary, University of London's, Westfield Student Village was the joint winner of the 2005 Copper in Architecture Awards.
