Miss Gursharan Kalsi
Clinical Scientist, PhD student
Gursharan Kalsi is a HCPC registered Clinical Scientist at Barts Health NHS Trust. She graduated with an MEng degree in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London in 2007.
Following this, she joined King’s College Hospital where she completed her scientist training and gained an IPEM (Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine) accredited MSc in Medical Engineering and Physics. She currently works in Clinical Physics within Barts Health NHS Trust, providing expertise and support in clinical applications of non-ionising radiation, governance of innovative medical devices intended for research and management of the department’s quality system.
In addition to this, she is studying a part-time PhD within the Blizard Institute at Queen Mary University of London. Her primary research interests lie in physiological measurement and medical device development therefore, her PhD project is focussed on further development and automation of a novel research device for the ambulatory evaluation of gastrointestinal motility.
