Arts Week is delighted to host:
Viver No Meio Do Barulho
Living in the middle of noise
An exhibition by Nicola Dracoulis presented in association with People's Palace Projects, featuring photographs of Grupo Cultural AfroReggae at home in Brazil and AfroReggae UK Partnership participants at home in Hackney, London. The photographs in this exhibition were commissioned by The Learning Trust, Hackney, supported by Nicola Baboneau, Community and Partnerships.
The exhibition will be located in the Cloisters, in the People's Palace
E-Motion
A new collaboration between a group of PhD students from The Centre for Digital Music (School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science) and Ali Campbell (Department of Drama ). The Giant Instrument is a sound installation which is activated through movement and was developed at the Centre for Digital Music. Ali Campbell and Applied Drama students will work with community groups including Jewish Elders, Bangladeshi Primary School pupils and young people with physical disabilities, to make intergenerational work through co-authored sound tracks created with The Giant Instrument. This work will be open to the public throughout Arts Week, Monday 27th April - Wednesday 29th April 2 - 4pm and you are invited to watch the performances take shape or take part.
The collaboration will culminate in a final presentation on Thursday 30th April at 1.00pm, which you must book for.
The performances will be located in the Boiler Room
