Time : 3.30-5.30pm

Queen Mary and the British Film Institute are joining forces for their first joint event, to celebrate a history of links between the two institutions, and looking forward to a future of collaborative projects.

This event will see the Head of BFI Festivals Sandra Hebron in conversation with leading film director Danny Boyle , providing a unique opportunity for QM's growing population of film students, as well as for staff and visitors.

Danny Boyle's latest film Sunshine opened in the UK on 5th April 2007, and this event will be a unique opportunity to hear Danny talk about his career as a filmmaker. Danny Boyle lives locally in Mile End, and the cast and crew of Sunshine stayed in Queen Mary's student village during filming in August 2005.
