Leaving a legacy

The College has launched a legacy programme which aims to encourage alumni to think about how they can make a tax efficient gift to the College in their Will after they have looked after their family and friends.

Leaving a gift to the College in your Will is straightforward, and, because Queen Mary, University of London is a recognised charity, the gift may reduce the amount of inheritance tax that your family may be called upon to pay HM Revenue & Customs after your death.

Our legacy leaflets, with ones for Queen Mary and Westfield alumni and one for Barts and The London alumni, offer a simple guide to you and your solicitor about how the College can be incorporated into your Will.
