Impact of degree on career choice and opportunities
My knowledge of physics helped in the early days when I worked as an energy manager. It was also useful when taking my masters degree in Building Services Engineering.
At Land Securities, I lead the environmental team with specific focus on sustainability and climate change. This being the largest Real Estate Company in Europe, owning and managing 29 million sq ft of property, I face challenges around culture and technology.
I was named Environmental Manager of the Year in 2007 by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
