Impact of degree on career choice and current opportunities My degree was a natural lead into training as a Royal Navy Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) officer: a thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile career that has taken me around the world in various warships.
I now lead a team of twelve instructors who train the Royal Navy's forecasters and observers.
