Queen Mary Family and Friends Programme
The Queen Mary Family and Friends Programme, coordinated by the Alumni Relations Office, provides a direct link between the College and you, the families and friends of new and current students, both in the UK and around the world.We hope to engage you in the life of Queen Mary during the coming years by inviting you to join the Family and Friends Programme, which includes invitations to events, including the Family Welcome Receptions during Moving-in Weekend each September, the opportunity to be kept informed about developments at the College and for you to support the Family and Friends Book Fund.

Invitations to events
Each term the College runs an extensive programme of events, including inaugural and public lectures, seminars, symposiums, concerts, drama and exhibitions. You are very welcome to attend many College events; please visit our Events listings for up-to-date information.
Principal's Welcome Receptions
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September 2011
Take time out from the stress of moving-in to join us for a welcome cup of tea or coffee in The Hive on Queen Mary’s Mile End campus during Moving-in Weekend.
New first year students and their families and friends are invited to join us at the Principal’s Welcome Receptions.
This is an occasion where you can meet other new students and their families and friends, as well as senior members of the Principal's Office and representatives from the Students' Union.
Choose to attend ONE of three receptions:
* Saturday 17 September:
- 11.30am (speeches at 12 noon)
- 2.30pm (speeches at 3pm)
* Sunday 18 September:
- 11.30am (speeches at 12 noon)

As a member of the Queen Mary Family and Friends Programme, you can sign-up to receive free-of-charge, a number of College publications which will keep you informed about Queen Mary while your son or daughter is a student here.

Local overseas groups
We currently have local overseas groups in a number of countries, including Argentina, Australasia, Brazil, Canada, China, Cyprus, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, Uganda and the United Arab Emirates. These groups are coordinated locally and provide a focus for social and networking events.
