Family and Friends Book Fund

For the 15,000 students enrolled at Queen Mary, the Library is the hub of knowledge. During the 2009-10 academic year, over one million book loans were made to library users; in addition, hundreds of thousands of articles from electronic journals were accessed from computer terminals throughout the College.

The Main Library on our Mile End campus is generally open seven days a week and until midnight, Monday to Friday, during term-time. Specialist medical and dental collections are housed on our Whitechapel campus, while the Centre for Commercial Law Studies library is located in premises at Lincoln's Inn. In spite of all this activity our students continue to tell us that they want to see more copies of standard texts.

Last year, our families and friends raised almost £1,000 towards the Family and Friends Book Fund. This contributed to the purchase of many key books.
