What we offer
As a member of the Queen Mary Alumni Network you are always part of a special community.
You are invited to over 100 events each year where you can meet and catch up with old friends, network and continue your lifelong learning programme. We can help you to organise your own reunions for your class, subject or year group.
You can select to receive our publications which are sent to you free of charge.
We can help you to trace lost friends by forwarding stamped letters, providing we have up-to-date contact details for them. You can also find your missing friends by registering to use our password protected Web email Directory.
We can put you in touch with our overseas branches in Argentina, Australasia, Brazil, Canada, China, Cyprus, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, Uganda and the United Arab Emirates. Our Overseas Correspondents will keep you up-to-date with local events and reunions.
Apply for the Alumni card which enables you to continue your QM library membership for reference purposes or incorporate this with the Student Union Lifelong Membership card, which gives you access to the SU's social facilities. Both cards allow you to receive membership at a discounted rate in Qmotion, the SU's health and fitness centre.
In addition, if you are a recent graduate, you may be interested in the following opportunities:
- Recent graduates who are considering making a career move into a different sector or those, for example, who wish to establish their own company, are invited to take part in events organised by Queen Mary Enterprise and Development Opportunities (QUEDOS). QUEDOS offers a range of short courses, professional workshops, networking events and career insight days.
- Queen Mary Careers is offering an internship scheme for 2008, 2009 and 2010 graduates who are struggling to find suitable work. The scheme involves a 4-week paid internship at a company, adding important experience to your CV and getting a foot into the door of the job market. This is part of the Knowledge East Consortium.
- GradClub, a service offered by The Careers Group, the University of London's central careers service, is offering 2009 Queen Mary graduates support with trying to find a job, a career or ideas about what to do.
