EcoCampus silver award for Queen Mary
Queen Mary has been presented with a Silver award in recognition of the work going on to improve the environmental sustainability of its campuses.
EcoCampus, a national scheme involving 48 Higher Education institutions including Queen Mary, looks at how universities are addressing key environmental issues.
The universities that achieved silver accreditation could demonstrate they had a clear environmental policy and had started to set objectives and targets for environmental improvement.
The Head of Sustainability, Rebecca Maiden, said:
"We were delighted to have achieved the EcoCampus silver award. Queen Mary is working very hard to address and reduce its environmental impacts and we are committed to making further progress."
